Major Golf Championship at the New W.R.W. Built Golf Club

The Wales Ladies Championship of Europe was the first major championship to be held at the Machynys Golf Club since it opened in May and took place in August. Some of the top professional golfers from 28 different countries played at the new course in Machynys, Llanelli, with total prize money for the tournament of £350,000.00.

In the run-up to the Championships, a Pro-Am Tournament was held at the Club, with our own Contracts Manager, Phil Evans taking part with Professional Golfer Iben Tinning of Denmark, and the team completed the course 10 under par.
